Imperial Chocolate Milk Stout aged for 13 months in Laird's apple brandy barrels that held BLiS maple syrup. We then conditioned this awesome beer on fresh and toasted coconut flakes before packaging. Silky vibes of walnut, Almond Joy, and Mounds bars.

Look: Very dark, with short, light brown head
Smell: Lots of maple and oak on the front. Sweet smelling.
Taste: Great mosaic of apple and maple syrup. Like an an apple pie.
Feel: Smooth and syrupy, no bite. The flavors are softened by the coconut.
Overall: A very balanced, good beer. Lots of sweet, rich flavors that play nicely. Not as extreme as some of the other dark daze beers this year but a solid beer, top to bottom.

Coconut is wonderfully subtle with apple brandy peeking through as well. Maple is prevalent. All of it works together to create a fantastic feel in a well balanced beer.

500 mL bottle, poured into Goose Island BCBS glass and allowed to warm for 45 minutes.
L: Tiny brown head which disappears almost immediately leaving nothing. Beer is very dark brown.
S: Maple comes through the strongest, but the coconut is there, along with whiffs of the apple brandy barrel.
T: Very maple-y backed up by lots of chocolate milk. The apple-brandy barrel kicks in with late coconut notes. Roasty and comforting. A bit of alcohol heat on the back end.
F: Full-bodied, a bit of carbonation. Nicely put together, with a real vibrant flavor, but a bit raw and hot on the back end.
O: A very tasty dessert stout that might do well with a couple of years of cellaring.

Really nice sweet & boozy contrast on the nose from the Maple and Brandy. That stewed fruit notes give it a great holiday vibe.
The boozy, stewed fruits contrast on the palate with loads of sweet maple and a touch of coconut on the finish. Boozier as it warms.
Dangerously smooth, really well done. The sweetness along with that thick mouthfeel make this the perfect slow sipper. Merry Christmas Eve!
