Blend of Imperial Chocolate Milk Stouts aged in red wine, maple apple brandy, bourbon, and Laird's apple brandy barrels conditioned on double Oreo, double maple syrup, and Vietnamese cinnamon. Rich impressions of fresh Oreos, truffle, orange marmalade, and German chocolate cake with pecans.

2021 version, poured into Veil Anniversary glass and allowed to warm for 45 minutes.

L: Very thick, perhaps the thickest pour I have seen. A very tiny brown head that has no retention. No lacing or anything of the sort. Beer is dark black.

S: Chocolate milk, the apply-brandy barrel, some vanilla, maple.

T: Sweet chocolate milk, a touch of apple-brandy and oakiness from the barrel, vanilla still comes in pretty strong as well as some sticky maple.

F: Full-bodied, no carbonation to speak of so finish lasts and lasts and lasts. That said, it's a bit oversweet even for the style and the coconut either faded away or was totally buried. ABV nicely buried, as it is not boozy or overheated.

O: Nice dessert or pastry stout, whatever you would call it, but just a bit too sweet and the flavors never really differentiate to their fullest.

Pouring a 500 ml bottle at cellar temp into my snifter. the beer is courtesy of a swap with @cubatobaco. thank you!
The beer pours jet black in color with a fizzy brown head of .5 cm foaming up but rapidly fading with some large dark outline bubbles popping. this foam is also one of the louder experiences Ive had recently with a beer. Head is 100% gone before Ive taken one sip of the beer.
The aroma on this beer is amazing! Very complex and changes rapidly as I smell and come back for another whiff. I get dark chocolate, dark fruits, brown sugar, a good hit of maple syrup and some warming cinnamon cookie notes. No hint of hops or any booziness even at 11.5%. there is also a little bit of sweet brandy note on the nose. A huge amount going on here. Very enjoyable nose.
First sip on this beer reveals a fairly thick body and smooth texture with very fine carbonation, that is also very loud even inside my mouth. This carbonation sound is crazy! The carbonation is fine but has a little tingle to it. The beer coats my palate as I swallow and leaves a sticky coating on my lips with each sip.
Flavor is complex just like the nose. Lots of chocolate milk notes mixing with some brown sugar and maple syrup here and again the cinnamon comes through but isnt overpowering. Also, its real cinnamon not Big Red gum cinnamon notes, very genuine, and maybe my new favorite use of cinnamon in a beer. Again, no hop character on this one. Not any real booze heat either nor black pepper bite.
This beer is very complex and incredibly smooth and coating experience. It is sweet but not cloying and features a lot of different flavors and scents mixing together nicely. I would gladly trade for another bottle of this beer. Amazing example without being over the top and one dimensional. Well worth the purchase or pursuit.

Look - Poured like oil into a teku. Light brown head at first but transformed into a thick, dark chocolate color with the consistency of icing. Deep and dark body. Looks so decadent.
Smell - Pecan up front with chocolate and cinnamon. Also get hints of date and tobacco.
Taste - Sweet but complex and balanced. No hints of alcohol. Lots chocolate, like frozen hot chocolate, and nice kick of cinnamon with hints orange zest.
Feel - Dense, velvety. Leaves a film around your mouth. Almost like a milkshake.
Overall - Wow, what a beer. These types of beers can sometimes be over the top, and while this one is luxurious, it remains balanced, flavorful, and unique. The pour leaves a great first impression and the taste finishes strong.

Poured super viscous with a dark brown head. Apple brandy, chocolate and cinnamon in the nose. Taste was a lot of chocolate, apple brandy, and oreo. split a bottle 3 ways and it was definitely on the verge of being too sweet. i think previous years variants were a little better than this one but i still enjoyed it.

The Veil is killing it with these Dark Daze bottles.

Big Apple Brandy and fudge notes on the nose, with those fruitier barrel notes both complimented and contrasted by pastry sweet aromas of Rocky Road ice cream and spicy hints of Cinnamon.

The palate boasts rich maple & chocolate fudge with undertones of cherry cordials, vanilla custard, and cinnamon. Just before you start to wonder if it's a tad too sweet, the barrel heat hits on the tail with a little bit of a bite.

The mouthfeel on this is thiccc, and as the beer is poured the head is a deep sienna brown. Further down the bottle, what I'm assuming are small bits of Oreo float aimlessly around the glass; an unexpected but perfectly welcome addition to the experience.
