Smoothie-style Sour Ale brewed with chewy milk sugar, yuzu juice, a blend of strawberry, persimmon, and peach purées, toasted black sesame seeds, and plump Madagascar vanilla beans! Inspired by our travels and love for Japanese treat shops, this unique but awesome Tastee exudes impressions of sherbet, creamsicles, citrus cocktails, and clementine. Shoutout to our besties Longoven RVA for toasting the sesame seeds for us.

16oz can poured into a goblet
A- pours a hazy dark orange color with a one-finger head that disappears completely, leaving nothing behind
S- immediately smell the sesame seeds on the aroma, along with peach, strawberry, a hint of citrus, milk sugars close it out
T- citrus and yuzu up front, followed by equal notes of peach and strawberries. Mid palate brings out a toasted nutty note, I assume from the sesame seeds. The finish gives some sweet milk sugars, along with tart yuzu and peach
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp and tart finish
O- an interesting flavor combination, but it works well together

A 1 pint can with no canned on or best before date. Poured into a Holy Mountain tulip glass.
Appearance: A not so appetising murky brownish orange colour, with a half finger tanned head that dissipated fairly quickly and left fruit like sediment and only sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Fruity, yuzu, strawberry, vanilla, yoghurt, ice cream smoothie.
Taste: Sour, sweet, fruity, yuzu, strawberry, Sprite, sweetened milk, vanilla.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Purely on its appearance, it did not look appetising at all. Luckily, it’s aroma and flavours were many times better and enjoyable with lots of fruit, especially yuzu.
