The beer pours a voluminous brown head that dissipates quickly. It also creates a rather unpleasant looking bubble and contains a bunch of bits of stuff that doesn't detract too much from the appearance but still isn't pleasant to look at.
The smell is pretty good. It has a mix of eggnog and coffee notes mixed with a strong nutmeg. The bourbon is fairly light compared to the eggnog that mostly dominates the nose. There is a light chocolate and vanilla towards the end of the smell.
The taste strongly resembles the smell. It has an eggnog note with nutmeg in the middle of it all and is immediately followed by a bitter coffee note with hints of bourbon and maple syrup. There is some slight chocolate there and bourbon in the finish.
The feel is good and interesting. It has a smooth and thin texture to it but isn't watery. There isn't much carbonation.
Overall, a pretty good beer if you can get over the appearance.

Strong chocolate and nutmeg flavor with a touch of cinnamon. The head with giants bubbles wasn't the most appealing, but the flavor was stellar and fits the season so well. Very good.
