A blend of our anniversary Imperial Stout aged in Laird's Apple Brandy, BLis Maple Bourbon, and Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrels conditioned on double bananas, double chocolate sandwich cookies, chocolate syrup, and cherries. Tastes a lot like the description! Chocolate covered bananas, sandwich cookie frosting, and boozy ice cream.

Thiccc pour, with essentially zero head or settling carb. This bad boy was motor oil, with some floaties hanging out in the glass, of what I can assume must be from the sandwich cookie addition.
The nose is straight up banana split; notes of banana, cherries, chocolate syrup, and vanilla ice cream are all easily picked out, tying the overall aromatics into an incredibly accurate banana split pastry profile.
Again, getting a lot of the same qualities on the palate as I did on the nose; for so much going on in this, I'm very impressed at how well they nailed it. Again, great use of bananas, which can be a tough adjunct a lot of the time. This is followed up by just a touch of tartness from the cherries, with more of a maraschino syrup vibe overall. The chocolate syrup and rich vanilla bring up the rear, and with this thing boasting a viscosity pretty damn close to Hershey's syrup, the whole experience really comes through well. The Veil has always done really well with Apple Brandy, and this one's no exception. Getting that subtle hit of caramelized apple and bourbon on the tail, with an added richness from the maple and lingering heat on the finish. It's cloying, don't get me wrong, but not in the turn-off way that Quy was; more of just a great balance of adjuncts that really couldn't have been executed in any other way than pastry sweet and thick.
The mouthfeel on this, as mentioned briefly above, is akin to chocolate syrup. Viscous, sticky, full-bodied. Not particularly something I love, but definitely something you'd also expect from this beer. This RVA powerhouse really executed this one perfectly from all sides. Not for those looking for restrained sweetness and barrel-heavy stouts, it's simply one of those off-the-wall beers with a crazy long name that ticks every box in the title. Really well done.
