The beer pours a foamy off-white head that looks really good. The beer itself is a dark amber that looks really good. The hue definitely resembles the original but is actually a bit darker and it appears to be thicker as well.
The smell is really good. It has a strong mix of hop resin and a toffee malt note alongside a light caramel note at the end. The end result is a fairly bittersweet and interesting smell.
The taste is a bit hoppier than the smell but is still pretty good. The resin hop notes comes straight forward to dominate the taste with an undercurrent of a strong caramel note.
The feel is good. It has a heavy and thick body with a bit of acidity and acidic bite at the end. It has a sharp dry finish alongside a sticky feel.
Overall, this is a really good beer that is similar to the original but is different enough to stand on its own. I definitely recommend getting this if it's available. There is really nice biting carbonation to it.
