DIPA brewed and dry-hopped with our freshest Motueka and Galaxy hops. This one is a very welcomed addition to the ferrari lineup. Bursting from the glass with fresh exotic fruit and lime zest.

PKGD ON 01/02/2024. Poured into 25th Ann BA teku — hell yeah!!

A: Murky/milky gold with 1-finger white foamy and with below average retention with scant lacing.

S: Aroma is subdued with berry, melon, and green fruit with a heavy herbal honeysuckle note.

T: Flavor is not up my alley with a heavy-handed grassy, herbal, green character that dominates the beer. There are some grapefruit and berry notes but the bitter green note is overwhelming.

M: Feel is slightly astringent and chalky with medium body.

O: A big letdown - really bracingly bitter green note is too much.

Gorgeous, orange-gold, glowing, and creamy fluid, fully hazy but not muddy. Big foamy head of bright white with strong lacing. Absolute looker.

Big nose of dank greens, wonderful melange of citrus, stone, and tropical fruit, with the tropical notes standing out the strongest. A little pine and pith, some bready yeast, and wonderful herbal notes. So many layers and such wonderful balance.

Taste follows in notes but isn’t as tight or unique. Quite dank and weedy, stone fruits and overrripe tropical fruits taking the lead, with a bitter green bite that is well-balanced with the semi-sweetness from the fruit juices. Less nuance and layers, but incredibly drinkable and tasty. Just tough to match the outstanding nose.

Creamy and coating, silky and smooth. Easy drinking despite the 8.5% ABV and heavy dose(s) of dry hopping.

Traded for this recently with a friend who went down to Virginia, as I enjoy nearly everything that I've had from The Veil over the years. This was a smooth and lively beer that was fun, easy to drink, and could have been truly great with just a bit more depth to it. As it was, this went down too easily thanks to the hidden alcoholic presence!

As I expected, this was hazy and golden as a ton of thick, bubbly head topped this off and slowly settled down. Only one thick ring of lacing remained near the middle of my pint glass s there were a few soapy splotches the rest of the way down. Lots of tangy lime, bright papaya, and cream in the nose as the heavier hop dankness came through in the taste. Slick, a bit sticky, and with an aftertaste like swamp water, this had plenty of Motueka and Galaxy in it as the aftertaste was a bit reminiscent of a strawberry patch.

Not a lot of booze in this one for an Imperial IPA as I only felt a bit of warming by the time I got down to my last sips. Dated 11/30 on the bottom of the can, this held up well for being two months old as there wasn't any sediment or burn to be seen and felt. While not the best beer I've had from The Veil, this was solid, enjoyable, and easily accessible and it was further proof of how high they've set the bar for me. Worth a go once anywhere, anytime!
