Traded for this recently with a friend who was nice enough to get down to Virginia to pick this up, and some other brews from The Veil. I had the original a while ago and this was just as lovely for being full-bodied, fruity, and overtly boozy!
This poured a milky gold with plenty of cloudiness to it as the voluminous head was quite long-lasting, and just a bit uneven. Not a lot of lacing left behind with a thick ring lingering about a third of the way down the side of my pint glass and a bit of drippy suds the rest of the way down. Lots of candied sugar, tangy tangerine, wheat, and booze in the nose as the melon, dank pineapple, and stone fruit emerged in the taste as this warmed up. Quite smooth, full-bodied, and sticky in the back, this was a beer that attempted to cover all of the proverbial bases and nearly pulled it off as there could have been a bit more hops to round things out. The carbonation was lively and I think it's safe to say that not many Imperial IPA's go down as easily as this one did!
Sure, this was strong and somehow, it fit right in with everything else going on here. Couldn't read the date on the bottom of the can, but this was relatively new per their Instagram feed. Loved this beer since everything was harmonious here and it was easy to take my time with. Once again, The Veil has nailed it with this one!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
