The beer does not pour any head. The beer itself is a deep dark chocolate brown that comes off as very very black. It looks pretty nice.
The smell is delicious and very enticing. It starts off with a nice bourbon note that flows into the more stringent vanilla beans that are tempered by the cinnamon alongside the cocoa underneath it all the entire time.
The taste is still good. However, the bourbon is overpowered by the vanilla beans with no trace of the cinnamon and the cocoa comes out in the finish.
The feel is good. It doesn't have any carbonation to go with its heavy body and silky texture. It has a slight burn in the finish.
Overall, a pretty good beer even if the vanilla can be overpowering at times. Definitely since it'll probably be the only way to get a taste of pappy.
