Imperial Stout Aged in bourbon barrels for 1 year then aged again in bourbon barrels for 2 more years. Amazing impressions of baking chocolate and bourbon on the rocks.

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like dark chocolate chips, cookie dough, espresso, bourbon heat, caramel, and leather.
The name of this is definitely correct – there’s a lot of bourbon barrel here, and I really enjoy it for that. There’s cookie dough, dark chocolate chips and dark chocolate truffle, caramel, spicy oak, and a distinct dark fruit leather sort of vibe that I really enjoy.
This is thick, but not syrupy, and, at a couple of years old, the boozy warmth has mellowed to a pleasant and soft level.
This is really great, and one of the best Veil stouts that I’ve had so far.
