Triple Dry-Hopped version of our Double IPA with Citra, Amarillo, Galaxy, and some CTZ. Very round and juicy. Saturated flavors of orange marmalade, smarteez, and tropical fruit cups.

Procured in a trade/proxy hybrid with @turkeysdrinkbeer in August 2022 and drunk shortly thereafter.

In the glass, it's a murky light vanilla-yellow as though pineapple and banana juices have been mixed together. There's a very thin bright white head and there's nice lacing on the glass. The beer is opaque - no light is penetrating the tropical murk.

The nose is a hoppy, spicy tropical fruit salad. There's vanilla, orange, lychee, passionfruit, and mango. Just as a juicy IPA should smell!

Tastewise, the beer is very sweet. There's no hop burn. Taste generally follows the nose with added vanilla presence, presumably from the sweet malt and oats. The perceived bitterness is minimal and there's nothing to indicate this is a 9% beer. This is a problem as there's nothing balancing the beer's sweetness and in the end that over-sweetness is what detracts from the experience.

The mouthfeel is uber smooth, as expected from looking at the beer in the glass.

Overall this is a nice beer but it's one-dimensional. There's the usual tropical fruit basket but that's it, and there's not a lot else to say, which, in the end, is a little disappointing.

Cheers!
