Whangdoodle - Port Barrel

poured from a 500mL bottle into a perennial snifter. pours light, almost see-through brown but settles in the glass dark brown to nearly black with very faint dark brown swirls atop the dark liquid. heavy port barrel on the nose with aromas of chewing tobacco, dark fruits, damp oak and some faint vanilla. taste has more milk chocolate to it while still providing flavors of tobacco, leather, oak barrel and raisin. as it warms and opens up i get a bit of toffee in the taste too. thick, full mouthfeel with a lower level of carbonation. sticky. this was definitely good. the port barrel flavors are pretty big and i quite enjoyed them. solid port barrel-aged stout.
