Gorgeous pour. Huge head. Medium brown color.
Nice nose, good roasted bitter flavor comes through.
Tastes pretty ordinary for style.
Good, solid stout.

I really hope this is a true stout and not pastry or candy stout, can date smudged.
Pours a large frothy rich almost 2 finger brown head with great retention, good lacing, jet black color
Nose big spicy hops, tons of spicy hops, dark roasted charred malt, a touch acrid, cocoa and fudgey
Taste brings lots of dark roasted malts, a bit of char and slight acrid notes, dark chocolate, cocoa, fudgey, big spicy hops with med-high bitterness but not too spicy at first, spicy hot alcohol, a touch fruity, drier finish, super spicy hops lingering with high bitterness
Mouth is fuller bod, fair warming hotter alcohol, med carb
Overall not too bad, an American imperial stout for sure, high on the spicy hops but within style, a bit of alcohol but expected, thankfully not too sweet and not pastry or fake stout

From a 16 oz. can with a smudged date that looks like 11/7/22. Sampled May 13, 2023.
The appearance is exactly what I look or in an Imperial Stout with its dark brown to jet black color and foamy, boisterous, long-lasting tan head.
Aroma of dark roast, fudge, cream, char, ash. and earth. No booze that I can smell.
Smooth, creamy medium to full mouthfeel.
The taste is sweet and dark but there is a notable moderate earthy bitterness that finishes things off. Slightly lingering on the palate The boundless bitterness was a little unexpected for me.
