Brewed on what seems like a mountain of hops, Veil Brewing rolls out a four-headed hop monster with Citra, Motueka, Idaho 7 and Galaxy hops that's been triple dry-hopped and rolled into a hazy style for a smooth and pleasurable drinking session.

A soothingly sweet scent of tropical fruit, citrus, spruce, herb, melon and vinous scents roll into a full fruit cocktail of aroma. All floating above a burnish golden body, densely opaque in its appearance, and then crowned with an ivory stained froth; the session leans in with a creamy malt taste of honey, cream, poundcake, vanilla, cereal and a hint of caramel.

Not to be outdone, the hop combination rises to meet the level of the persistent grain sweetness, a burst of branch ripe and creamy fruit flavors of blood orange, red grapefruit, mango, lime and passionfruit develop an initial hop punch on the middle palate. Complementing flavors of cantaloup, apricot, nectarine and white grape complete the fruit flavors and wait in anticipation of a slow fade toward a smooth bitterness of cannabis, black tea, cedar, verbena and sassafras herb.

Full bodied, creamy and smooth, the ale is a full display of hop flavor but it gives up refreshment or drinkability in order to do so. Its persistent creaminess lingers long in a cereal sweet fashion with light silt and a warming vodka-like afterglow.

Canned 2/14/23 (1 month ago)

Appearance: Pours a completely opaque (less than 5% clarity) light orange, to pale yellow color with a strong white head. SRM of 7. (4.25)

Aroma: Strong and juicy flavors of orange, grapefruit citrus, tropical pineapple with some grape and melon notes and hints of flower off the end. Smooth creamy oats underneath.

Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors of orange, grapefruit citrus, some vinous grape and sweet pineapple to follow. Creamy oat malt flavor behind. A faint bitterness. Ultimately finishes mildly sweet and juiy..

Feel: Medium to heavier bodied. Strong carbonation. A large oat malt body for a juicy yet creamy finish.

Compared to The Veil Merciless Merciless 3/15/2023: Pours lighter, hazier, similar head. Milder aromas. More grapefruit, passionfruit, floral and vinous grape flavors. Less

Compared to Toppling Goliath Fire, Skulls, and Money 3/2023: Pours similar, milder head. More grapefruit, lemon, vinous notes. Stronger pine and oat malt body. Heavier and more bitter.

Overall: Very nicely done and impressive here. Triple dry-hopped but also a huge malt body to back it up. Strong orange citrus, grapefruit, some floral and vinous notes for a faint bitterness. Creamy, smooth, wonderful. (Rating: 4.04)
Definitely falls off quickly with any age.

Pours a deep milky orange is the best way I can describe it. Head was barely there but was white, very white. No lacing was noticed. Nose was citrus if I had to pick one it would be grapefruit. Taste was very citrus with a peppery bite to is that gave way to bitterness. Good beer.
