16oz can poured into a tulip
A- pours jet black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that reduces to a ring around the glass
S- smoky charred malt, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla beans, prunes
T- smoky charred malt up front with bitter dark chocolate, followed by dark fruit notes of prunes, raisins and figs. The finish brings out some vanilla beans with more charred malt
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to slightly foamy mouthfeel and a slick finish

16 oz can. no date, but bought at the brewery earlier today
pours a black color with thick tan colored head that eventually fades to a thin collar. big woody vanilla aroma. taste is similar, it's not sweet - is more of an earthy vanilla flavor, on top of dry, unsweetened cocoa. bitter, dry finish which I was not expecting. medium to full bodied.
