Poured a slightly cloudy orange-gold body with decent head and lace. The aroma has mild notes of citric along with some grassy pine. Decent sweetness from grapefruit and something like peach underneath a bitter and dry hoppiness with decent balance, a filling body and and somewhat heated finish.

Drank 9/4/25 at brewery.
Pour is a clear golden straw yellow. Chalk white head with decent retention and good lacing. Inviting pour.
Nose is pine, citrus rind, grapefruit
Taste follows - big swell of grapefruit, citrus rind, solid bitterness.
Clean and crisp - doesn’t get sweet or cloying
Awesome double ipa.

Pours annoyingly hazy orange, completely not what I was expecting for a west coast style DIPA. Tons of fluffy white foam and excellent head retention though. Smell is all lemon, citrus rind, and a little juice. Flavor is heavy on the citrus, a little bit of juice, and finishes dry with a lot of spicy lemon pepper. Vaguely sweet, very floral, finishes dry, with an interesting stone fruit complexity, Very nice creamy mouthfeel and exceedingly drinkable for this ABV.
Another hit for The Veil and showcases a new, interesting flavor profile amongst their seas of DIPAs.

Light for the style, good but not special
