The label says this is a West Coast inspired IPA and it sure poured like one. The contents of a pint can into a clear Imperial pint glass produced very little head, although there's plenty of carbonation. There's plenty of sharply piney hops to smell. The color of the brew is dark yellow-amber and it's cloudy. It tastes dry and hoppy, just like its given intent. It also has enough malt backbone to carry the dry and piney hops within a medium that is smooth and just a bit sweet. It's a nice version of the style that's not too hoppy, just hoppy enough. There's no head, no glass lacing and that’s no problem here. This is an enjoyable variety of the style.
