Poured from 16oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Canned 7/25/23. The can calls this an "imperial gose ale with blackberries, raspberries, orange, non-dairy vanilla ice cream, Madagascar vanilla, and vanilla salt". That's a heck of thing!
Appearance: rich purple sludge with a fizzy purple head that dissipates super quickly. I mean, as I said, it's a heck of a thing.
Smell: sweet berry dessert! Raspberry and vanilla are what I get the most, although there is a hint of sourness under there that's not bad. There's a nugget of something really good here, but I feel like a lot of what I like about this aroma is getting washed out by the vanilla and sweetness.
Taste: there's more sour to it in the flavor than in the aroma, and that helps a ton. It's still sweet and a bit too vanilla-ey, but the tartness helps the berries a lot. It's pretty good for purple sludge!
Mouthfeel: hmm, it's kinda hard to say what's going on there -- I think there's enough body, but not enough carbonation. It doesn't read as creamy as I'd like it to be, although it's not bad.
Overall: I mean, I'm not usually one for milkshake IPAs or diabeetus stouts or whatever this is. That being said, this is not bad and I'm enjoying it. Remember what the brewy monster says: "milkshake sours are a sometimes beer."

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
