Pours near black, although up to the light, some copper colors surface arounds the edges. Well over an inch of beige head, with choppy lacing that did not stick around for the ride.
Smell for me was immediately reminiscent of the remnants of a campfire. To the degree I could cut thru that, I do pick up some chocolate.
Very nice roasty malts in the taste. As promised, smooth and sweet, perfect mouthfeel landing on a quick dry finish. The toasted maltiness lingers beyond the finish. Exceptionally smooth drinking, with sufficient components to keep it interesting.

Look: It pours very dark brown with a brown head. Head retention is very good.
Smell: It has a chocolate and roast aroma with the chocolate being a bit more forward.
Taste: The flavor is tilted towards the roast over the chocolate with a bit of coffee mixed in. There are some like earthly notes with an herbal element.
Feel: It has a medium body and finishes dry.
Overall: It's a easy drinking and quite flavorable beer.
