After sampling the Maple version, eager to bounce backwards to the ‘regular’ BA version, presented in a 500ML bottle. Again, terrible cat art. C’mon Veil.
Dense & dark with minimal carb & a nose that stretches between bourbon, chocolate, & diffuse sweetness.
Sleeping Forever – Bourbon Barrel Aged is a straightforward blow at the genre, without the complexity of the maple version. Same strong bourbon up front with cocoa following, & a strong booze/burn component. Finishes sweet with touches of oak & bitterness. This bigger bottle will do me just fine.
Very good brew without much to differentiate it from other BA stouts.
