04/16/26. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Hazy bright yellow with 2-finger frothy white head with good retention and copious swooshes of lacing.
S: Aroma is heaviest with pineapple and orange with passion fruit, mango, and definite dank pot undercurrent as it warms.
T: Flavor is easily one of my favorites from The Veil, mainly because it is less of the green hop matter notes. Plenty of pineapple, mango, guava, tangerine, and grapefruit pith in the finish. Not much of dank herbal notes but some honeysuckle. There is some green hoppy character but less than many of their other beers. Bitterness is medium. Alcohol well-hidden. Low esters.
M: On target for the style with medium thick feel with some gritty hop polyphenol notes and medium finish.
O: Forgiven is an exceptional hazy DIPA. I will be going back to buy more, price be damned!
