355ml can - a 'grapefruit session ale', and the latest in their Long Weekend Series. Hey, I'm actually having this on the specified holiday this time - neato!

This beer pours a clear, bright medium golden yellow colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, finely foamy, and mildly creamy off-white head, which leaves a bit of random sudsy cloud pattern lace around the glass as it slowly but surely sinks out of sight.

It smells of gritty and grainy cereal malt, muddled domestic citrus rind, a bit of hard water flintiness, and some tame earthy, musty, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is bready and crackery pale malt, faint white grapefruit pith, some damp minerality, and more understated leafy, weedy, and piney verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is average in its palate-satisfying frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, with nothing really existing that might cause any sort of kerfuffle here. It finishes trending dry, the core malt faltering, while the hops keep on keepin' on.

Overall - yeah, if you didn't tell me that there was grapefruit added to this offering, I wouldn't have guessed it. The fruity character is quite muted, but it's still a refreshing and easy to put back brew, perfect for the current wave of hot summer days we've been experiencing of late.
