Pours a pale clear golden yellow with a finger plus of bubbly white head.
Aroma of pale cereal malt with a fruity character and a hint of relatively pleasant vegetal, pepper smell.
Taste up front is fruity and sweet - would I have said mango; not sure, but pleasant slightly tropical. Across the mid palate there is a clear vegetal note, unable to put my finger on it, not unpleasant (maybe a little chalky?) but also not my favourite; at the back then the pepper kicks in with a warming and very nice heat.
I am a sucker for spice and this beer does it right - not over the top but a noticeable and building gentle burn - the body is light to medium with very decent carbonation, crisp and deliciously drinkable. The brief mid palate flavour aside this is exceptional.
