Served from a crowler (filled on 7/21/16) into a nonic half-pint glass.

Here's the description from a Mumford Brewing email sent out last week titled "The Return of Unpresidential (v3 'Impeachment')": "This is Batch #3 aka "Impeachment" of our flagship Northeast IPA, with a new hop bill consisting of El Dorado, Amarillo and Citra. Super juicy.)"

Look:
The beer is a deep yellow-orange, and murky but not opaque. The pour raises a rocky off-white head which doesn't last long, shrinking down to a dense skin of foam that leaves sticky lacing.

Smell:
The smell is peach nectar cut with sweet ruby red grapefruit juice. Alcohol tickles the nose slightly, but is otherwise hidden. Marvelous.

Taste:
The taste closely follows the nose. The first impression is peach juice, sweet and bright. Ruby red grapefruit juice comes in next and transitions to a biting citrus finish like the oils from grapefruit peel. The last note is a grapefruit pith bitterness which lasts long after the swallow.

Feel:
Carbonation is soft, while the body is light but not thin. No rough edges anywhere.

Overall:
This beer is one of those which is as nice to smell as it is to drink. The intensity of the peach and grapefruit in the nose is matched by their depth in the flavor. The finishing bitterness, which is generally the thing I miss the most in other examples of the NE IPA style, is both gratifying and satisfying. A mighty fine beer.
