On-draught @ the brewery. "Porter with stumptown coffee."
$7 per pint. Served in a shaker pint glass (...).
The coffee character is nice. A bit earthy, not too roasty, not harsh but bitter. Could be more expressive and vivid.
The porter base is okay at best...this would be a shell of a beer without the coffee additive. A blip of chocolate malt, a generic dark malt sweetness, zero hop flavour (to style). Not imbalanced.
A bit thin. Medium-bodied. Slightly coarse. Wet.
A drinkable coffee porter with an above average coffee flavour. I'd buy sixers of this for $10, but at $7 a pint I doubt I'll have it again willingly. Easily above average, but far from unique or special. Says more about Stumptown coffee than it does about Mumford.

Black with beige foam.
Coffee and malt.
Doesn't really pop out like I'd hoped, malt bill doesn't grab me. Vanilla's subdued, what seems like a lighter roast coffee stands out more so. Might need to up the IBUs a tad.
Nitro, so it's smooth as can be. Lacks some of that burn from coffee.
