Hazy orange-tan color. Poured a short head that collapsed to a thin skiff in half a minute. Too hazy to see carbonation level. Left no lacing.
Slightly sweet with a light pear scent. Some yeast funk with a light roasted malt. Something was spicy enough to tickle my nose. Swirling the glass kicked up a light barnyard that faded, giving way to a stronger pear.
Tart and a little sweet. A light funk with light bitters. Some light pear flavor pops after it warms a bit. Light pepper flavor and feel towards the end. The aftertaste pops the funky flavors with a bit more spice. Slight bitter hangs on for a long time.
Pops into a creamy, oily feel that continues even when the foam turns quite coarse. Tongue tingling from both carbonation and a bit of the spice. The spice feels a bit like ginger rather than a pepper burn.
Interesting variation on a Saison with a little bit of pear and Japanese pepper thrown into the mix. Light touch with the add-ins, so you are left wondering if they are really there.
