We are thrilled with how our 2022 batch of unoaked Who Hit John turned out. No adjuncts here. However, what you will find is a sumptuous and perfectly balanced mouthfeel. Subtle notes of currant and chocolate on the nose with a big coffee and chocolate body.

Picked up a four-pack from the tap room on 6-3-19 for $20.00. Canned on 5-16-19; consumed on 6-17-19.
Beer poured dark brown with a nice tan head with the original pour.
Nose is toasted and lightly roasted malts with hints of cocoa.
Taste is classic porter scaled up for imperial proportions. Malt base is large but very light. Lightly roasted with some cocoa. Hopping is well done to balance out the malt sweetness. Finish is dry.
Mouthfeel is very light for the abv and almost refreshing but there is a nice smoothness.
Overall a very good beer. Not sure it is worth the $5.00 per 16 oz can price tag but it is right up there with the better porters out there!

Overall a fantastic brew that pours incredibly dark, decent head and body for days. I was very happy that this wasn't some bomb of sweetness but instead very well rounded and I'm impressed.

Really delicious. Subtle notes of currant and chocolate on the nose with a huge coffee and chocolate body. Most of this first batch went into Bourbon Barrels so only a very limited amount of "un-oaked" batch one is available
