A DDH Double IPA that utilized GENEROUS amounts of both Amarillo and Motueka hops. This little number certainly doesn't lack in the juiciness department. Big aromas of tropical Starburst followed up by very present notes of melon and tangerine on the palate. The grain bill results in a mouthfeel that is soft and luxurious. Kind of like... well, expensive pillows. Mmmm, sounds esspensive.

No canning date (released on 1/21/21, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 2/11/21
Pours a hazy lemon-gold body with deep orange accents and capped with multiple fingers of rocky, eggshell-white foam; good head retention yields a half-finger of fluffy cap, a moderate, frothy collar, and a varied array of stringy, webby lacing strewn across the walls of the glass.
Aroma offers vivid layers of fresh lime zest touched with light cream and flaky malts interspersed and apparent throughout, negating any acidic tang in favor of burgeoning gooseberry, melon, and tangerine for a tropical tone past the middle, while a slight grassy character grazes the back end of the bouquet.
Taste opens with gritty lime peel backed with flaked malts and a subtle white grape must; a familiar touch of cream evolves over the mid-palate to supplement an increasingly tropical overtone of apricot pith, mushy melon, and mango peel, with a grassy edge to the back end to round out the finish.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter-bodied side, balanced with an ample, fluffy carbonation easing past a semi-creamy mid-palate to a spritzy bitterness and flaky, dry texture on the back end, contrasting a distant twang and delicate, juicy finish.
A truly plush NEIPA (living up to the spirit of its name), easily accessible yet with a focused, diverse profile tied together seamlessly; the structure of this one is top-tier, remaining easy-drinking though never boring.
