Got and drank a 4/6 pack of this last year, finished the last one watching a Raider game at the end of the season. First one to add and review the beer here at BA.
Pours a familiar yellow golden beer color, 1/3" white head, some chill haze to the beer. Not hazy, not clear. The aroma leans to the hoppy side of things and doesn't put out much of a lager yeast note. Commercial tug job about some neutral Swiss yeast or some shit, but story checks out. I think the Idaho 7 is just as, if not more noticeable in the aroma than the Citra hop, which is kind of weird to smell more of your bittering hop than your aroma hop, but ok.
Taste is nice, you really start to get into the beer's uniqueness here, Citra still largely absent, but the mixture of Idaho 7's bittering properties and the use of red rice really make the mouth feel the best attribute. Its crisp pilsner malt, tight carbonation, lightly hoppy and easy + fun to drink.
Summary: Yet another really good Arizona lager.
