Our latest King Snake variant is a bold one. All those roasty and chocolatey notes we've come to love are present in Desert King Snake. We're getting rich notes of fudge, more specifically, those Russel Stover truffles with the vanilla mousse filling. Luxurious mouthfeel. The barrel character does not take a back seat on this one. The 14 month nap in Buffalo Trace rye barrels helps strike a beautiful balance with assistance from Ugandan vanilla and Peruvian cacao adjuncts. You'll want to let this one warm up, once you do you'll be welcomed into a flavor dimension you won't soon forget.

Non existent carbonation...glugs out like Hershey's Chocolate..
Huge cocoa and vanilla...huge....obscene and indulgent...rich and thick...
Rich thick chocolate bar notes with a touch of spicy rye barrel...again...obscene...over the top...
I would drink early and often...

No bottling date (released in early-5/2022, so presumably bottled within a few days of that date); consumed on 8/17/2022
Pours a silky, jet-black body capped with a temporary, slowed formed foam, fading quickly to a creamy, thin, khaki-hued collar, minimal cap beyond a dense void, and no lacing holding to the walls of the glass.
Aromas of milk chocolate and marshmallow meet a building rye whiskey tempered by soft barrel grazing the middle to a wispy roast; dark fruit sensations on the back end linger to notes of darker cocoa, while tinges of sweet cinnamon wave through the closing impressions.
Taste layers of dark cocoa over rye spice upfront, proceeding toward a dark fruit inflection and mousse sensations over the mid-palate as a subtle booziness eases to lingering oak on the back end.
Mouthfeel brings a medium-full body with minimal carbonation overtaken by resounding creamy textures over the mid-palate; a mild char levels to a silky bittering on the back end as minimal stickiness grazes an otherwise dry finish.
Burly rye overtones are balanced among whipped mousse inflections, leaving a spirited oak profile tamed by soft roast in the backdrop for an overall easygoing richness and effective composure of barrel and adjuncts.
