In a clear pint glass after being drawn from a tap, it arrived. The color is a rich and dark amber, somewhat bright, opaque and with tints of orange. A modest off-white head endures. It brings only a mild aroma, slightly malty with a little bit of non-discript hopping. If this is anything, it's smooth. The body is rich, but not overly malty sweet. It does sweeten a bit as it warms, but not to a fault. Neither is this bitterly hopped. The hops are earthy and dry, especially at the finish. But, for an IPA, this has to be considered only mildly hopped. There are times for that sort of thing and the body here certainly mitigates that aspect. Quite drinkable and pleasant is this beer. At the finish, some nice stratification was left on the inside of the glass.
