Arriving in a full clear pint glass, the serving from a tap might initially be too cold. A request for an immediate second has been made, so it will be more likely at the ideal temperature when consumed. Until then, it can be reported that this looks the part. It's dark brown, without much head. Cold, it drinks nicely, but unimpressively. It's just mildly malty and even less mildly hoppy. But, that's the expected character of its style, which isn't intended to be a sharp taste experience. Oats in brews can help obtain wonderful concoctions. But, they do bland out the taste as much as they often improve a beer's mouthfeel. Warmer, there's not much more malt, nor hops added to the taste. The warmer version, albeit only by a few degrees, had no more flavor, nor glass lacing. Overall, this is pleasant enough, but unspectacular. Totally inoffensive, but without a great character, this can readily be put among the other good ones in a nuanced style. It' s not among the best, but it's good enough to have two at one sitting.
