Stirling Pig Hop Revelry shows a cloudy haze that is bronzed, with a foamy, sticky lacing and off white head. Definitely hop fragrant. Moderate and pronounced bite is Not overpowered, and seamlessly joins in a carbonated release on the second gulp. The 6.8% is abundantly warming. Mouthfeel includes the IPA resins - which do behave tame. Crafted with care and a dry finish.

A pull on a tap handle and a clear pint glass was just about completely filled by the brew. There's no head and this is in Ambler, PA, so the Philly way of pouring draft beers extends out here. The color showing is bright and light copper-amber. It's relatively translucent. It's not particularly aromatic, even as it warms. The taste begins with a pleasant hop bite, more like pine than some sort of fruit. That bite lingers into the finish where it dries out nicely. Although there's very little complimentary starchy sweetness, there's enough to provide a decent backbone and mouthfeel. Without a head to start, there's no glass lacing to find. But, that's of no consequence. The bottom line is this is a pleasant AIPA. It may not be complex enough to merit a world class rating, but sometimes just getting the basics right counts big. If you appreciate the original IPA concept, you'll appreciate this as well. No fruity references, nor haze here, there's just a good tasting ale.
