Notes via stream of consciousness: It smells quite citrusy as I'm pouring it, and my first thought is that the hops are Citra. It's surprisingly clear (because it seems that every IPA is hazy these days), and golden in color. The head is bright white. I don't see a lot of bubbles rising within, and that might explain why the head has already dropped. Back to the aroma, it's definitely citrusy, and a touch piney as well. On to the taste - it's great. It's got a pleasantly sweet and grainy malt base that's perfectly balanced against the hop flavor and bitterness. This is a 4.5% beer so don't expect too much, and yet it's still got a lot of flavor. I'm getting notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pine, apricot, and a little bit of spiciness. It finishes dry, bitter, and woody & earthy. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. As far as session IPAs go it's right up there with the best, unfortunately the head retention hurts its appearance.

This episode began with two twelve ounce cans being emptied entirely into a clear glass liter mug. They poured like any American Adjunct Lager, with the showing of brightly light and nearly clear amber color. The stark white head is foamier than most of those lagers, however. The extra foam doesn't last long, receding somewhat unevenly. The aroma is more hop than malt forward, but it's mild, even compared to a commercial American Lager. That's the taste, mild and more hoppy than malty. Its body is light, but acceptable considering the amount of flavor and alcohol it carries. The somewhat bitter hop flavor is nice, but without a malt counterbalance, seems incomplete. There shouldn't be a problem brewing a very tasty low alcohol beer, but this didn't get it right. It drinks like a hybrid of hop flavored seltzer and light lager beer. Scant was the glass lacing as was the appreciable flavor, other then some hops.
