Golden with moderate carb. Incredibly hoppy for a pilsner, drinks more like a perfect west coast ipa. The Idaho Gem hops are interesting, nice bitterness, sticky resin, spruce. nice mouthfeel

DATE: September 10, 2022... OCCASION: a boys' sports weekend has a pause to watch Penn State together--and enjoy this offering I picked up last week... GLASSWARE: nondescript pilsner... this pours a swirling orange yellow body alive with oversized bubbles building a two-fingered, snow white pillow of head--quite a looker!... the Idaho Gem is worth featuring--maybe the first beer I have knowingly experienced--with berries, cherries, meadow, hay, lightly toasted grains, light spiciness, and pine make for am intriguing, if not alluring, aroma... this is juicy--no dryness here--with frothy thickness not usually placed in pilsners... soft on the tongue and throat, it has punch at the teeth, engaging with a lengthy aftertaste... speaking of taste, lemon grass, garden herb, and toasted malts with repressed berry, cherry, and pine make for a full palate--tasty and full in its presence, this is definitely a beer I wish wasn't a one-and-done... this needs more ratings--seek it out!
