CANNED ON 04/02/2018.
Hazy but not turbid gold with 2-finger head and good retention and copious sticky bands of lacing.
Aroma is weak for style with herbal/onion character fading to pineapple and grapefruit/orange and plenty of pine.
Flavor is better than aroma with more punch but curious hop character with herbal/honeysuckle and onion/garlic followed by pineapple, grapefruit, and tangerine and finishes with pine and some resin. Not very fruity. West Coast IPA hop aroma and flavor with NEIPA appearance. Bitterness medium. No yeast character. Seems like a heavy hopped WLP 001 IPA with heavy hopping?
Feel is pretty on target for a NEIPA -- chalky finish with softer body/feel and relatively low carbonation.
A hybrid IPA that blends WCIPA and NEIPA characteristics. I tried this very fresh -- within 2 wks of canning -- and it was tannic and grassy. It has calmed down and is now a nice IPA. I like others a lot more but nothing wrong with this beer.

The bottom of the can has the date printed on the edge so it's hard to read, but it appears to say: "CANNED ON 4/02/2018"
Appearance: The head is large and white with a relatively smooth surface of small bubbles and a few larger ones scattered on top. The body is a gold color and it is slightly hazy. Even though the beer has a haze to it, it has good clarity (no solids).
Aroma: There is a very soft tangerine aroma and a bit of what smells like candied ginger. There is a very light onion scent the longer the nose lingers. It has a decent but soft aroma.
Taste: The first flavor that comes through is this grassy hop character. Then there is a bit of pineapple skin. The alcohol in the beer starts to come out a bit as it sits.
Mouthfeel: It is on the lower end for bitterness, but it rides a little bit above what the average bitterness is for a New England IPA. Wet finish.
Overall: The beer is decent but aside from its nice appearance there really wasn't anything that stood out. The hop aroma and flavor was there but it wasn't very prominent or especially fresh. The beer was drinkable but easily forgettable.

Poured a cloudy orange body with good head and lace ring down the glass. Aroma is largely citric hops with hints of acidic orange and grapefruit sweetness. Smooth, medium body with a balance between bitter, dirty citric hops and orange/grapefruit notes. Balance is a little off and while I appreciate the old-school hoppy bitterness not found in these NE IPAs it just doesn't seem to mesh well.
