Look: It pours amber with a white head. Head retention is average.
Smell: There are some chocolate aromas with bread.
Taste: It has a bready taste with noticeable alcohol notes even though it doesn't have a high abv. There are also some spicy hops elements in support.
Feel: It has a medium body with an aftertaste leaning towards the bitter side.
Overall: An interesting beer in both aroma and taste that don't quite match, but good taste regardless.

Copenhagen 16/3 2023. 50 cl bottle with a swing cap brought home from a border shop by my in-laws. A dark cellar with beer barrels on the label.
Pours unclear amber with a mid-sized, dense white head. Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with sweet bread. Sweet pale malts, bread, toffee and caramel. Hints of brown sugar..
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a bit. Finish is sweet and flat.
A bit flat with a nice touch of toffee.

Poured from an undated 1 pt 9-oz bottle into a mug.
Look: Slightly cloudy amber with a 1” white head that dissipated fairly quickly and left decent lacing
Nose: Malted grain, some fresh sweetness.
Attack: Follows the nose well, but very gently!
Finish: Just enough hop bitterness to balance the gentle attack.
Mouthfeel: Medium, plenty of carbonation.
Overall: I didn’t know what to expect — this is either my first Kellerbier, or my first one in a very long time. It’s delightful, actually, and very drinkable. It’s also a very good pairing with Mrs mpruden’s chicken-vegetable stir fry over brown rice tonight. I really hope I can find some more bottles of this!

I had this beer on-tap in a clear plastic cup at the District 13 street fair in Budapest.
Appearance: dark golden - light brown hue with a fair haze and a thick head of creamy ivory foam. Beauty, eh?
Smell: caramelly malt with a little bit of yeastiness. It’s nice; kinda almost reminds me of a dunkelweizen.
Taste: malt is caramelly and there’s plenty of yeastiness here, almost to the point of adding just a little bit of funkiness. It’s actually super refreshing on a hot day like today.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a really smooth creaminess. This is actually super soft … I’m very much into it.
Overall: a solid and refreshing kellerbier. Darker than I normally associate with the style, and that’s no bad thing. Good stuff!

Finally picked up a bottle for only €1.19 after walking by this beer for months, label dated 10.05.24. Beer is just crazy cheap in Germany. Been in the mood for Kellerbier lately so I decided to try this from an otherwise mediocre brewer. Darker than most of the style, being amber brown and cloudy. Nose and flavor are typical yeasty and slightly funky with grain throughout. Flavor gets a bit thin as does the feel. Finish is a bit boozy and sweet in a strange way. As expected, mediocre.

Sept. 2010: 500 ml swingtop bottle, bought at Rewe Getränkemarkt, Erding. ABV is 5.4%. Brownish golden colour, big head, slightly off-white. Bready aroma, hints of caramel, lightly toasted malts and grassy and herbal hops. Soft and mellow mouthfeel. The flavour has a decent presence of malts, a hint of caramel and very moderate hops. Easy drinking, not a great beer, but nice enough.

Blind-tasted except for the beer's name, ABV% and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Deep amber and notably cloudy, despite being well rested and with minimal handling. This is not at all a negative FWIW, I just think it's the default look even with care taken so... those who don't do notable haze/sediment might not get on with this. Pours with 1Cm white foam cap. ps @ +15mins, the head holds really well.
S- Quite malty.
T- Initially brighter than expected, into deep malts with some toasty richness, then a minor dry hoppy lick into the finish.
F- It's well balanced between pretty full malts and balancing hops. Net result is it's a pretty 'solid' beer, perhaps even beyond it's quite meaty ABV%. Carbonation in the mouth remains really good.
O- It's very pleasant, ideal for colder months as it's pretty robust. Sessionable probably. But then sessionable also because there's not much here to get worn out or jaded with - little of individual character notes beyond the deep 'wall of malts'. - I wouldn't buy this again as it's just not standing out versus other Kellbiers I've had recently and can buy for a similar price.
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the lables to see what I missed!
500ml bottle £3 BB: 31/12/21 Bought from TremblingMadness, York/UK as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.

De Labirratorium. En copa hefe de Bavaria. Jugando a Fortnite. Algo menos corpulenta de lo habitual en el estilo pero muy fácil de beber, animando a repetirla
