An authentic Pilsner lager with the finest quality German malts, hops, yeast, and brewing techniques. In Greek mythology, Prometheus championed mankind by stealing fire from the gods, but was punished for the rest of his life by being torn apart by eagles. We're also alluding to our backyard neighbor Robert Oppenheimer, and the Pulitzer Prize-winning biography American Prometheus. Golden and grainy, light bodied, balanced with a delicious floral, herbal bitterness.

Poured from a crowler, canned 5/28

On the pour a nearly 1 finger head forms then dissipates over a minute to thin scattered bubbles and a ring around the rim. The body is a pale golden straw with no haze. Looks crisp with lazy light carbonation.

Aroma is hop forward but not too intense. Balanced and crisp like a pils should be with a nice hit of seemingly noble bittering hops. Some slightly off lager yeast notes that blend with the hops to form a bready spicy aroma. Behind that is a very nice buscuity and sweet malt profile. Pretty big for a pilsner but definitely a German pilsner.

Flavor follows the aroma but brings some extra malts and loses a bit of the off lager characteristic actually quite nice to drink very satisfying with a nice hoppy bite at the front that fades into a softer malty flavor with a light sweetness. Some light spicy notes from the hops as well that blend quite nicely with the malt sweetness, and actually replace any off notes with something quite nice as it warms a bit.

Feel is crisp while also carrying a bit of a bready satisfying character with it. Very easy to put down and it almost feels like I should have it in a stien it's so drinkable. Relatively sweet, but in a balanced way, absolutely no dryness on the mouthfeel, but I enjoy it.

Overall a big pils with a good balance between hops and a big bready maltbill. Very nice with only slight flaws showing from the lager yeast. Overall pretty clean and everything works. The hops are quite nice with a spicy sweet flavor and a nice medium bitterness.
