Black, opaque body with a short but durable tan head that leaves a sheet of lacing on the glass.
Mild, roasty aroma. Stronger, moderately bitter
Smooth, full body.

Pours black with very little head retention to speak of. Aroma is of sweet malts, leather, and burnt sugar. Velvety smooth mouthfeel. It's full-bodied yet very soft on the palate. Flavor is roasty with notes of molasses, tobacco, and black licorice. As far as I know this is not a barrel-aged stout, however I also seemed to notice a touch of bourbon in it's flavor.
Excellent beer here. I'm excited to try more from this brewery.
