Purchased a 32 oz growler at CBX for $14. Looking forward to this!
A: pours a caramel brown, carbonation, thin brown foam head quickly fades, little to no lacing
S: rich and strong notes of caramel and Toffee, hints of oak, vanilla, some burbon, smells like some sweet shops
M: thin with some creamy body.
T: caramel, bittering hops, spice, pepper, oak, vanilla, some burnt char.
O: interesting take on the standard version, super, sipper, aroma is strong! 4 stars

3/7/14 Served on tap at World of Beer Cherry Creek
Pours a DEEP amber color with minimal head
Aroma is dominated by huge caramel and toffee notes. There is not a ton of bourbon on the nose even as it warms just an incredibly amount of caramel and toffee. The scent is so strong that even though it wasn't what I was expecting it could not have made me more excited.
Flavor is very subtle the caramel and toffee are still at the forefront but the sweetness from the nose is absent. Vanilla and oak from the barrels shine through a bit more and work with a subtle bittering back end.
Mouthfeel: Like a few other Grand Teton BA beers it is on the lighter side.
Overall: Its good but I wonder if intensifying some of the flavors would kick it up to great.
