This golden IPA, less bitter than its rival west coast counterparts, is full of peach, passion fruit and citrus notes imparting a wonderful tropical flavour perfectly balanced with sweet malt undertones and hop bitterness.

A-Hazy light orange with a white head that lingers
S-Aroma notes of orange and lemon, with a hint of tropical fruit medley.
M-Medium body and medium carbonation with a peppery bite that I could do without
T-The higher level of alcohol is quite apparent and comes off as a little acidic and astringent.
O-I’ve had plenty of beers from Vermont and this one does not toe the line. Unfortunately a flop for me.

Looks great. Substantial long-lived head, lace all the way. Hazy, orange hued brew. Nose is tropical fruit, oranges, grain, and yeast. Fruity hops to taste, orange pith, grain, and malt. Sweet up front, gently bitter finish. This beer is evenhanded and flavorful. Would be a suitable intro to a good quality IPA as its not overly aggressive in any aspect. Worth a try.

Pours cloudy blond with yeast chunks in suspension. A frothy, everlasting head coats the glass with lace. Peach, mango, pineapple, berries in the nose. The taste is full of tropical, citrus hops with lots of grainy maltiness as well. Fruity hops and yeast (maybe?) notes linger. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Medium bitterness in the finish.
A solid, all a round IPA. Good balance. Worth a try.

Looks like apricot juice, opaque with no head. There are bits floating around it. The taste is tropical fruit but not citrusy or bitter. Not that great in my opinion. I prefer more beer flavour

This beer is a beautifully crafted East coast IPA full of vibrant tropical fruits, it pours golden with a nice head that fades quickly.
While extremely good it Definitely is not what I expected by the title Vermont IPA. I was expecting a thick new england style. That being said I will definitely drink it again.

Got this from the LCBO this past summer
From a 473ml can into a pint glass
IBU: 70
APPEARANCE: Pours a 1+ finger, medium looking, creamy white head with excellent retention. Hazy gamboge orange with piles of carbonation. Head eventually fades to a full, creamy cap and leaves some good, thick lacing on the glass. A full cap remains leaving lots of good lacing on the glass as it empties. Good looking head but not nearly as muddy as the style needs to be.
SMELL: Honeydew melon, tropical fruits like pineapple, hints of mango and cantaloupe on the nose. Some wheat malt and caramel as well. Plenty forthcoming.
TASTE: Honeydew melon, cantaloupe, some wheat malt and caramel sweetness up front, moving into a melon and piney bitter finish. Bold aftertaste of caramel, melon and pineapple sweetness, wheat malt and some piney bitterness linger on the palate. Flavorful.
PALATE: Medium body and higher levels of carbonation. Creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes dry. Some decent bitterness lingers for the style.
OVERALL: Good stuff. Still not the thick, muddy juice punch IPA that New England is so well known for, but a good brew in its own right. Enjoyable and worth checking out if you are a fan of this type of IPA. Cheers!

I love me a Vermont IPA. Alchemist, Lawsons, heck even Fiddlehead (not a fan of Magic Hat). Anyway, I don't see it with this one. There's no bad flavours here but just not that full a hop aroma or flavour. Grainy & malt mash flavours are ok with a bit of help from some lightly fruity hops, but I can't put this in the same ballpark as the IPAs from Collective Arts as some do.

Deep gold, body, unfiltered dense mist; capped by a full white head holding for a minute or so, then fading to a delicate film.
Juicy, sweet citrus and pine hops bursting forth on the nose, of oranges, clementine, and young spruce cones. Fresh and clean.
The mouthfeel is what stands out first, full and soft, like a cloud. Getting a sense it's the product of fine but ample carbonation, and minimal filtration. Taste is on point too, in line with the nose, though the citrus is dialed down and the spruce taking the lead and lingering in a long finish with a beautiful pure bitterness, not pithy. All balanced by a malt backbone lending just the right amount of sweetness while staying in the background.
A fantastically well crafted IPA, though not bursting with flavour, it's a pleasure to drink, enjoying its subtlety and easy drinkability. You might want to make this a summer go-to, pairing it with bbq chicken with a maple & herb glaze.

473 ml can from the LCBO for $3.35 CDN. Canned May 16, 2019. First offering I've tried from this brewery so given the good review scores, this is eagerly anticipated. Review #1,650.
Appearance - Reasonably hazy, rich golden hued brew with orange highlights and a finger and a half of head acting as some additional plumage eye-candy. Good staying power and loads of spidery lacing all over the glass.
Smell - Grapefruit, lemon zest and orange are most prominent, with some pineapple coming in as support. Big aromatic nose that has be salivating at the the thought of drinking this.
Taste - Quite a bit of citrus, with orange leading the way, then grapefruit and lemon following in behind. Very tropical and while bitter, not overwhelmingly so. In repeat tastings, at times have found a bit of sharp booziness.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, fairly juicy, carbonation is expressive and abundant but not overly so, and there's enough juiciness to live up to the Vermont style IPA listed on the side of the can.
Overall - More NEIPA than American IPA, but the distinction is fine. Either way Bronan is a wonderfully tasty IPA that drinks like a dream and stacks up among the best IPA's that Ontario has to offer, This would match up well against anything including top offerings from Collective Arts and Great Lakes. Highly recommended and I'm hopeful; I can pick up a few more of these while they're in stock.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Apr 17 2019 and served slightly chilled. I've had a couple of cans of Bronan over the past few weeks, and my initial assessment was that it's at least as good as some of the best Ontario-made IPAs you can find at the LCBO these days.
Pours hazy and sediment-laden, with a golden yellow-hued body that is topped with one finger of smooth, foamy white head. It recedes at a casual pace, replaced within five minutes or so by a thin cap and a fat, creamy collar that clings to the glass tenaciously; a fine coat of lacing is left behind as it slips lower. Looks great, and the aroma is also appealing - I'm getting citrusy orange and grapefruit, with lighter hints of stone fruit, floral hops, pale malt sweetness and passion fruit. A solid start thus far.
Very tasty stuff; it doesn't veer far from the aroma, featuring a lightly grainy pale malt sweetness underlying a fruity barrage of hop-derived flavours that lean towards the citrusy side of the spectrum. Orange and grapefruit are prominent, with notes of peach (& pit) and passion fruit leading into an increasingly resiny/bitter back end that tails off into a fruity, mildly pithy aftertaste that lingers. On the heftier side of medium-bodied, with good, firm carbonation that remains at least a little prickly to the bottom of the glass; smooth, satisfying texture.
Final Grade: 4.26, an awesome A-. What I said in the first paragraph still applies: Bronan can easily hang with any of the best hoppy pale ales Ontario has to offer, Collective Arts included - and that is exceedingly high praise coming from anyone, really. I'm a few hours' drive from NOTL so I can't assume that this will always be stocked here, but I'll be enjoying it thoroughly for the time being. If you can find it, I'd recommend you do the same.
