Brewed to honor the coming Solstice, this dark amber ale is infused with Caraway seeds to compliment the roasted and bready notes imparted by Rye, Wheat, and Debittered Black Malt. A perfect beer to sip by a roaring fire during the darkest days of the year.

A: A very dark brown color with a very large tan head.
S: Caramel and coffee with a little bit of a herbal aroma, and some saison yeast in the finish... Interesting.. It almost smells like a brown ale gone bad, but in a not entirely bad way.
T: Coffee and touch of caramel, and some bread, like herbal character with a little bit of dark fruit in the finish as well as a hint of tartness. Kinda like a brown ale gone bad, but in a not entirely bad way.
M: Medium thin body, with tons of carbonation, and a dry finish.
O:Overall not unique enough to find particularly interesting, and not solid enough to stand on it's own. A good beer to be sure, but falls short of awesome.

Pours very dark brown with a 2 finger white head. Just hints of dirty light on the sides. Aroma- yeast, apple, pear, syrup sweetness, sugar and something like a moss. Taste- yeasty and bready. Caramelly with a little nuttiness to it. More pear. Not very spiced. Pretty clean and crisp beer. Mouthfeel- medium to high carbonation. Burp inducer. Overall- nice saison, dark in color. But not terribly robust in flavor though. Approachable and easy to drink.
