This was great. They need to do more stouts. 11%?—never would have known. Super beer

On draught at the brewery. It pours a dark mahogany with a thin, creamy, light mocha head and spotty lacing. It has a really nice nose: roasted malt, milk chocolate, freshly-brewed coffee, vanilla, leather, and tobacco smoke. The taste opens with chocolate and vanilla sweetness but quickly becomes increasingly bitter with burnt coffee, charred nuts, and earthy char. The flavors are big, bold, and blend terrifically. Considering it's served on draught and colder than optimal, the mouth feel is rich and creamy with moderate carbonation, and I think it drinks below its 11.3% ABV. Overall, Sable is a magnificent Imperial Stout that provides lots of flavor without relying on adjuncts.
