Drank this beer in a hotel in Maastricht. Beer was served in the original glass. A nice amber colour with a very nice head. The taste is a bit like Palm, very drinkable when you are with friends. For my next visit this one is on my list again. Good smell and worth to order.

It's a difficult beer to pour from the bottle as the head wants to rise right out of the glass at you. Howerver, once poured, an amazing rocky ivory head sits atop a hazy deep reddish-mahogany body. The head displays excellent retention and holds a densely creamy 1/2" throughout the glass. Thick sheets of lace add to the appearance. The nose is malty with some dried dark fruit/skins and spice. The spice is not overwhelming, but clearly notable and similar to coriander. The body is firm with a fine-bubbled, median carbonation that caresses the tongue before becoming velvety smooth. Really unique. The flavor is rich with malt that's fruity (plum, raisin, and a bit wine-like); sweet but immediately backed by bold bitterness and gently spicy. Really well-balaced as the bitterness and spice work together to dry the full maltiness. It finishes dry with some residual sweet malt and mild spice. Well worth trying for it's uniqueness alone!
