Sometimes a, I don't want to say hero, but sometimes someone comes along to not just add beers to this Next Glass owned database, but also be the first one to review them. You're welcome physiognomy fail.
Pours an amber color, 3/4" off white head, dense. Attractive looking amber maibock. The aroma hits a mild Midwest leaves falling sensation. Down on the corner, falling leaves on the street. Toasty!
The taste is mild, low hopping per style. Smooth malty mouthfeel but with a degree of crispness putting respect on it. Good interplay between the darker bread like influence, the mild sweetness, but ability to still stay light on the feet and staying a crispy boi. Hit me with another caramel like drizzle on the loaf brudda. All the Vienna malt toastiness.
Bluesky censorship sucks. Its a style with few adherents in terms of "favorites" and I'm no different. Its good enough, I certainly liked it more than Dead Guy Ale which seems to be the top mover by weight in the maibock category.
