Had it on tap at Dewey Beer Co, my favorite spot in Dewey Beach, DE.
I noticed that there is a Saison and a Saison 2016 listed here, however, looking at the reviews I feel like what I had was significantly different enough to warrant a new entry into the BA database.
Pours a cloudy and murky pale yellow color with little to no head and a little bit of lacing.
There is lots of sweetness in the aroma. I feel a honey malt presence as well as light fruit tones; pear, melon, honeydew and some light grapefruit and lemon. Not as earthy or funky as other Saisons.
As with the aroma, sweetness pervades. Light fruit and lots of honey sweetness. There is a nice citrusy finish. The hops presence is understated but adds a nice grassy touch as well as a tingle of pepper and spice. Medium to light bodied, crisp and refreshing.
Perhaps not as dry or earthy as other Saisons, but for flavor alone, it was quite delicious.

Poured from the growler, shortly after fill into a tulip glass.
Creamy one finger topped head, bright and thick. Opaque lemon body, with a tiny bit of carbonation coming out through the body. Nice cling of lace that has a bit of ring in places as well.
Bright green herbs. Hints of lemon and grass, even … lemongrass punch on the nose. Moderate brett notes, quite a good funk tone of earth and heavy soil tones. Very solid.
Really nice palate. Chewy body, with a mix of lemon rind in the mid palate. Big lemongrass tones that I often find with Sorachi Ace hops throughout with a big punch of earth and green thick herbs. Light bodied, but highly supportive of the flavors and almost IPA hopped thick feel.
Real nice saison from these guys, look forward to it everytime I check out their brewery. Solid and punchy, with a simple body and a great take on the base hop.
