On tap at Dewey Beer Co.! 1st draught beer in nearly 3 months! (Thanks a lot COVID 19!)
It pours a thick and turbid, strawberry and raspberry color. It truly looks like a frozen slushy. It’s frothy head retains well and its ruby red color match the color of the beer. Thick rings of lacing dissipate and reveal powdery and crystal like residue, kind of like if the salted rim of a margarita used red salt.
The aroma is sweet and fruity with hints of tartness. It opens up with notes of watermelon, strawberry, and then, I pick up the notes of blackberry, blueberry and raspberry, as described in the menu.
The taste opens with a combination of sweet and light tartness. Very frothy and fluffy mouthfeel, medium bodied, pillowy and marshmallow like with a moderate carbonation for balance. Jammy flavors of berries, candy like, like a jolly rancher. In addition to berries, there are flavors of currants, lime, lactobacillus and vanilla.
Pleasant summery drink. I’ve gotten more into fruited sours, although this one was a bit too candied and soft.
