On draught at Dewey Beer Co, Dewey Beach, DE.
Pours a clear yellow color. A moderate head retains well.
The nose opens with notes of lemon and grass. Malt aromas are very bready and biscuity.
The taste showcases the malts nicely, clean but moderately sweet, with flavors of lightly toasted bread, crisp cracker and biscuit. It is well spiced with notes of lemon, grass and sweet fruity/floral hops. A dry and earthy bitterness develops, adding good balance. The finish is dry and clean.
Medium to light bodied. The mouthfeel is crisp. The carbonation is moderate.
Very refreshing and well crafted overall. Listed by the brewery as an American Lager, it could also pass for a German or Bohemian Pilsner due to its effective use of Noble Hops. I enjoyed this.
