I got a tall boy can of this beer off the single shelf at a beer store in La quinta, California. It poured a slightly hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bold sweet ripe fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright malt base and sweet ripe tropical fruit presence and a boozy finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Just added this beer to this Next Glass database. I'll also write a review for it. The hero we all need. This was the first beer I had at the 24th annual dipa festival last Saturday (2/10/24). They're from Ventura. That song.
Pours a light amber, was one of the darkest beers at the festival. But a noticeably deft and dense barely off white head at 1/2" with good retention, especially for style. Aroma had a light down under hop presence, light dank diesel tropical feels.
The taste was much sweeter than the aroma would lead me to believe. Not sure how they did that, didn't seem like lactose or any fruit bullshit. Not like it was dessert territory or anything, just the usual push here was west coast dryness not that degree of sweetness. Really did a good job making almost 9% so crushable. Quoted at 85 ibu, believe it, just not your usual mix of dry crispness here, but also not that hazy stuff either. Went in the more rare sweeter edge.
Interesting first beer ever from this brewery. I'll keep checking their stuff out.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
