Collaboration with Casa Agria Specialty Ales
Rules? Where we're going, we don't need rules... We hopped into Doc's deLorean with our friends at Casa Agria in Oxnard and split the IPA timeline, creating a junction point for the entire space-time continuum... On the other hand, it could just be an amazing collaboration! "The Way Forward is Back" is our presentation of a CLEAR EAST COAST IPA featuring 1.21 Gigahops per barrel of Talus, Ekuanot, and El Dorado hops. "Wait a minute, Topa. Are you telling me you brewed an East Coast IPA... out of Clear Beer?" That's right- nobody calls us chicken! Maybe you think this is heavy, or that there's a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull dropping out all the haze. Maybe you're not ready for this yet... But your brewer buds at Topa Topa & Casa Agria are gonna love it!

Grabbed a can of this and a host of others on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Topa Topa’s website called this “Rules? Where we're going, we don't need rules... Poured a medium yellow clear color with 6-to-7 fingers of rocky white head. Plenty of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Perfect foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 5.00)
Smelled my new favorite friend Talus up front, followed by El Dorado. Also pink grapefruit, pine, resin, black pepper, rose blossom, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, plum and grape. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted Talus (love you), Ekuanot and the El Dorado right away. Specifically pink grapefruit, pine, resin, black pepper, rose blossom, floral, tangerine, mango, melon, green pepper, peach, pineapple, plum and grape. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Damn, this beer was good. Best Topa Topa beer I’ve had but I’m sure Casa Agria made that happen. Lovely. (Overall - 4.25)
